Jane Sanders, DO, FAPA

Dr. Sanders received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences at the University of Southern California.  She then went on to receive her Master’s degree in Kinesiology – Sports Medicine & Injury.  While in California, she taught high school science for several years before completing medical school at Midwestern University in Arizona.  She completed her psychiatry residency in South Florida and served as chief resident in her final year of training.

Dr. Sanders is an active member of the American Psychiatric Association, American Medical Association, and the Florida Psychiatric Society.  She has published an article in Athletic Therapy Today and has presented a variety of case studies at the annual Florida Psychiatric Society conference.  She has a diverse background in treating mental illness in adults, senior citizens, and veterans and prefers to use a more conservative pharmacologic approach in addressing psychiatric and behavioral issues.  Dr. Sanders has a particular interest in treating patients with depression, anxiety, and OCD.

When she is not seeing patients, Dr. Sanders enjoys watching the Los Angeles Dodgers, checking out new restaurants with her husband, and playing with her Chihuahua named Rusty.
